ENW
206 is one subject in a series of courses for Faculty of Arts, Humanities and
Foreign Languages. The course focuses on quoting, interpreting, organizing
information. The Research Paper, as well as, The Critical Paper is the written
work produced by scholar to benefit the next researcher. Each chapter presents
method for conducting research from the very beginning to the final product
accompanied by sample and topics. This course also presents the way to achieve
unity and coherence so that the written work would go smoothly and stay within
the topic. In addition, it is designed to develop not only your understanding
of the mechanics of writing, but also your ability to be critical about the writing
through systematically raising the awareness of the many different facets of
the writing process, from grammatical structure, punctuation and vocabulary, to
an understanding and appreciation of the border principles of good
writing-coherence and good argument structure, an awareness of style and
register, and formatting conventions, to name just a few.
